A new report from the Chartered Institute of Housing highlights how effective working between schools and housing providers can make a significant contribution to the success of neighbourhoods and communities. Housing and schools are long-term stakeholders within communities, and have the ability to deliver real benefits beyond their core roles of providing
accommodation and education. This free report highlights the wide range of initiatives that are possible, and case studies some of the work by currently being undertaken in partnership between schools and housing.

Housing, Schools and Communities will be formally launched, at CIH's Transforming Communities event in Manchester on the 10th December 2009. The event focuses on the effective transformation of estates and the importance of considering more than the physical improvement of homes; Including the relationships between housing and the education, health and care
sectors required to achieve sustainable transformation. Delegates at the event will receive a copy of Housing, Schools and Communities, and two other reports in the series Transforming Estates and the forthcoming Housing, health and care.
